Webinar – Negotiation Process and Skills Series – 5 Sessions
July 29, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Free
Session 1: Process and Analysis – 7/1
We all negotiate things every day. However, that does not mean we know what we are doing. What is the process of negotiation? How do you initially analyze your negotiation to set yourself up for success? Strategy development is paramount to a successful negotiation. This webinar series starts here, with the big picture and a strong foundation. No more “trial and error” or “we’ll see how it goes”.
Session 2: BATNAs and ZOPAs – 7/8
What are “yours” and “theirs” Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA) and how do you determine your Zone of Potential Agreement (ZOPA)? These fancy terms will be broken down, explained and, most importantly, applied in this webinar.
Session 3: Skills – 7/15
Negotiation has unique sets of skills beyond inter-personal and communication. This session will cover some popular techniques and skills used in negotiations and how you recognize them being used on you.
Session 4: Mock Negotiations – 7/22
Talented negotiators started off practicing in controlled, learning environments. This webinar session will discuss what to look for, how to conduct lessons learned as well as the opportunity for you to practice some of the items we’ve covered in this series.
Session 5: Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) – 7/29
What are the differences and the pros and cons between negotiation, mediation and arbitration? When should you suggest, move to, and discourage ADRs? And what are the time and dollar implications of each. This webinar will provide an overview of all of this.
