You will be able to attach links and documents to your profile (i.e., photos, PDFs, presentations, videos) to improve your profile’s content and appeal.

(If you do not already have a LinkedIn account, you will open it during the workshop – it takes a couple of minutes!)

    In addition, you will learn:

    •  How to grow your network, know with whom you should connect, and how to find and reach out to potential clients and referral partners.
    •  What, how and where to post on LinkedIn to promote your expertise and bring new viewers to your profile and your website.
    •  Why and how to find and use LinkedIn Groups.

This workshop is for beginners and intermediate LinkedIn users. One-on-one coaching is available for SBDC clients who have a “completed’ profile, understand at least the basics of LinkedIn and want to learn how to use LinkedIn’s Advanced Search features.

The workshop is led by a business attorney, so please be prepared with your questions. This decision will have long-term implications, so consult with an accountant and attorney to help you select the form of ownership that is right for you. In making a choice, you will want to take into account the following: Your vision regarding the size and nature of your business. Number of employees. Type of business operation. Legal restrictions. The level of control you wish to have. The level of “structure” you are willing to deal with. The business’s vulnerability to lawsuits. Tax implications of the different ownership structures. Expected profit (or loss) of the business and capital needs. Whether or not you need to re-invest earnings into the business. Length of business operation.
