Jeffrey Siew and Jason Lott, the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Attorney Advisors for Trademark Educational Outreach, work to educate small business owners on trademark fundamentals. Siew and Lott’s October 13 workshop provides a basic outline of how patents and trademarks work, how to properly file the necessary paperwork, and how to avoid legal troubles before they happen.
