Some LA County businesses required to halt indoor service

On July 1, Governor Gavin Newson announced new business operating restrictions in light of an ongoing increase in COVID-19 cases.

Indoor restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms, entertainment centers, movie theaters, zoos, museums, and card rooms in LA County are again required to halt indoor service.

Restaurants in LA County had been permitted to reopen indoor dining service with occupancy and protective equipment restrictions on May 29, 2020. However, LA County has remained on California’s official County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days, indicating a resurgence of COVID-19 cases. Ahead of the July 4 holiday, those previously loosened restrictions have been rescinded.

Restaurants are permitted to continue with take-out and delivery services.

The new restrictions will remain in place for at least 3 weeks.
