This course will provide small business owners with information on why a “trademark” is a valuable asset for a company to own; how “trademarks” help customers identify goods and services; how to select and use a “trademark”; the importance of doing a “search” prior to adoption and use; state and federal trademark registration; and how to avoid violating the trademark rights of others. The course will include a fun, trademark selection and searching activity. A laptop or tablet is highly recommended.
