This course will teach small businesses how to protect legal rights in creative materials, such as training manuals, articles, publications, photographs, software, music, videos and website content under copyright law. The course will cover the requirements for copyright protection, the length of protection, determining ownership, the benefits of registration, how to avoid violating the copyrights of others and how to ensure the business owns copyright protected materials created by employees and independent contractors.
