
California’s health department requires all food establishments to have a ServSafe certified manager on-site during operating hours. If you have multiple managers running your establishment it is recommended they also complete this training to ensure a certified manager is available when a health inspector arrives unannounced for a routine inspection. This ServSafe certification will be valid for 5 years and is transferable to any food establishment you operate.
