On Friday March 27, 2020, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act of 2020 (CARES).
As part of the CARES act, Congress created the Paycheck Protection Program. For this program, Congress has allocated $349 billion dollars to help non-profit’s, sole proprietor and independent contractors and small businesses. Additionally, Congress has expanded the EIDL Program and relaxed the underwriting guidelines to help small businesses take advantage of this program.
